blue stuff and throw up

It's an unusual day here in good ol' AZ. IT'S RAINING!! In fact the office roof is dripping like a sieve. Today's funny comes from poor little Jakey. On the way to church today he all of a sudden exclaims, "Mom, the clouds are stuck together!!" "oh?" I answered, "they are?" "yeah", he says. A few seconds later he shreiks, "MOM, WHAT HAPPENED TO ALL THE BLUE STUFF!?!?!" It took me a second and then I could barely answer with out laughing out loud, "the "blue stuff" is still there, Jake. The clouds are covering it." Well, it was nice to have a good funny from him today as he hasn't had a good day since then. We went to church and he made it through sacrament meeting with no problems at all. In fact he was actually really good. I thought it was great! The big kids went on to primary and I took Jaden to nursery. About 45 minutes later, Ka'lani (my friend) came and found me to tell me that Jake was throwing up. I went out into the hall and his teacher was with him and he was white as a ghost and throwing up, again, into a garbage can. His teacher is Sister Miller and she told me that he had been really good and had sat still the whole time he was in primary. In fact she had leaned over and told him that he was being such a good example and being so reverent! She said he was just sitting there one second and then throwing up the next. No warning, no complaining, no indication that anything was wrong. He threw up all down the front of himself and onto his lap, but even then Sister Miller said he just sat there and didn't say anything. I brought him home and cleaned him up and he has dozed on and off laying on the couch, waking up every half hour or so to throw up again. Poor Jakey!!

Just a quick note about the new video. This isn't Jaden. This is Raspberry Boy, Jaden's superhero alter ego.

Nursery. To be or not to be.

Well, even though children have to be 18 months old to start going to nursery, they took pity on me and said that I could bring Jaden in as long as I stayed with him. My back and my patience readily agreed. The result? Jaden is so ready for nursery. Nursery is so NOT ready for Jaden. He loved it. Will have NO problems staying by himself when I leave (only 4 more Sundays to go!), but he is going to be a handful. While doing puzzles, his gnat like attention span would only let him do his own puzzle for no more then 2 seconds before he just had to "help" the child next to him! Then when it was reading time, he rolled around on the floor, "yelling" because it kinda sounded cool. Snack time was interesting as he shoved all his goldfish crackers into his mouth at one time, then turned to grab the goldfish belonging to the little girl next to him. He then poured his little paper cup of water all down the front of his shirt. When he let it be known through pointing that he wanted more water, they gave him a small amount. Their mistake. Let's just say that it is good that it was a "small" amount as he poured it over little Sarah's head and then took her goldfish crackers. I'm not sure they are going to let him come back!! Actually, that is not totally true. I think that they will let him back in if only for comic relief. Couldn't stop laughing.

Lost your Oreo?

Well, Jaden has discovered a new favorite food. He got to have an Oreo cookie for the first time ever and he is in LOVE. He looks like he got into a potted plant and ate the dirt. He made such a mess with his Oreo that I firmly belief that he got more of it stuck on his face and hair then he did in his tummy!
Yesterday our little cousin Aubree had her 5th birthday party. Grandma took Kaylee, Ethan, and Jake down to Maricopa for the party. When they were getting ready to go, Kaylee couldn't find her other tennis shoe. She pouted and whined and hollered and worked up to a tantrum... over a shoe!! Grandma was not pleased. She told Kaylee that she would have to wear her other shoes. Kaylee didn't want to and was very put out to say the least, but finally put on other shoes because Grandma threatened to leave her home. Once they were in the car and on the way, Kaylee calmed down and told Grandma, "I'm sorry I lost my impatience with my shoes."
